Our Board—minus a few absconding souls, set off to Bangalore with spouses in tow, proving once again that Rotary fellowship travels very well, especially over a weekend. The visit became all the more memorable with a warm and lively meeting with Rtn. Sukhen Padmanabhan, President of the Rotary Club of Bangalore, and Rtn. Kavita Muthappa, Secretary. What followed was a fine Rotary ritual at its elegant best: an exchange of flags, followed swiftly by an exchange of ideas—on fundraising, CSR, The Rotary Foundation, and even a proposed golf event between the two clubs. In short, banners were swapped, brains were picked, friendships were strengthened, and plans were cheerfully set in motion. A weekend well spent, well shared, and very well Rotaried.
